Introducing rice cereal

Yep, I did it! Noah had his first bites of rice cereal this morning. I know what you're thinking, not even 4 months for another week, but hey, I thought he was ready. It was a little frustrating at first, since all he would do is stick his tongue out and it wouldn't stay in his mouth. After about 5 or 10 minutes he was somewhat getting the hang of things. (Although it still didn't all stay in his mouth) And to be quite honest, I think he was more interested in that bib!

30 Minute Meals

So today I decided to make some brownies and I asked Wy man to help seeing as how he loves the kitchen. We enjoyed licking the spoon and bowl together and then eating them before dinner.

Time passes and Isaac is making a cheese sauce for our baked potatoes for tonight. Again, Wy is asked to help. He was loving mixing the spices and whatnot. I love joking around and telling him "Wy I'm gonna stir" because this is what I would get in return: "NO DEE DEE! DON'T STIR! GO AWAY!"

Gotta add those spices for just the perfect touch!

And yes, as you see, he is in tennis shoes and underwear having the time of his life! I think we have our next biggest Food Network star!

Fall is here

It's a little bit different between Arizona, where the seasons never change, and a northern state such as where I'm at. The leaves are falling, the weather is cooler, overcast days, and actual Halloween decorations. This year my (not so little anymore) nephew Wy is 3 years old. My sister is trying to get him in the Halloween spirit and show him it's something to look forward to with lots and lots of candy, going door to door, being spooky, and decorating. We went out to Walmart yesterday and bought some orange lights, "spider webs," spiders to crawl on them, and a couple other decorations. It's been pretty fun being here to watch all this and see the little guy's reaction. I had to opportunity to watch him grow until my sister moved here to Utah and I am so thankful that he STILL remembers me very fondly. I'm also very thankful that I get to be here to see him in his first REAL Halloween.

My baby boy on the other hand, is not so interested. And the little princess of the house, also not so interested; more-so trying to figure out what all this stuff is.

I would also post a couple pictures of the Wy man in his spider costume but I'm sure Dee dee would appreciate if she got the chance to do so first. (:

Almost 4 months

My little man will be four months in about a week. It feels like just yesterday I was at my first OBGYN appointment. Wow, when I heard other moms telling me "time flies!" and "Make sure you get lots of pictures, they won't be small forever!" They weren't kidding! My sister told me to put him in one of those little seats you put them in when they're first learning to sit up. I thought "he's never gonna be able to hold his head up that long." Boy was I wrong! He sits in that seat perfectly and will stay for a good 30 minutes before he finally gets bored and wants to be paid attention to again.

This picture was taken the first time we put him in there, but he's gotten much much better since last week!
