When Will It End?!

The coughing, the runny nose, the wheezing!
My sweet sweet little Bear has been pretty sick these past few weeks. He went to the doctor and the ER about 3 weeks ago. (And in December for this same problem). They gave him a breathing machine in December which did nothing for him and when he went back to the doc then, they gave him a steroid. Well this time it was the same thing; They told me the breathing machine will work for the Bronchitis and an antibiotic for the ear infection. Well, the ear infection cleared as I knew it would, but unfortunately (as I also predicted) the machine didn't help his breathing.

This past Monday night my mom pointed out that he was having an even harder time breathing. I agreed and my dad and I drove him to the ER where it was SOOO packed they had to start sending people to a different hospital, luckily not us. They gave him a few breathing treatments with a different medicine and gave him an oral steroid. He wasn't improving. His O2 (oxygen) levels when he was sleeping weren't as high as the doctor would have liked them to be, so he was admitted to the pediatric ward there.

They continued the breathing treatment with a steroid in there that will not affect the whole body this time, just the lungs. The put a tube down his nose to get the gunk out of his lungs, didn't let him sleep a wink, and discovered in the process that he had yet another ear infection! Way to make our day! Bear wouldn't play on the mat they provided or with any toys! He wouldn't eat his food (which he normally loves), and would only drink half his bottles (which he loves even more)! He was pretty grumpy a lot of the time, and semi-content a little bit of the time. We were finally able to leave the hospital Thursday morning in which I feel his breathing has NOT improved. On the other hand, his ear infection is getting better (that's a plus)! Now that we are home Bear is playing, crawling, laughing and smiling again! Still not eating as much but I'm sure we'll work up to it.

I guess only time will tell and we'll just have to wait and see how long this will take him to get over. So far, 4 weeks and counting! :/
(No pictures for this one. My sister and brother-in-law have my camera in Utah so all I had was my cell which isn't the best).

First Hair Cut!

You heard right, my 8 month old baby got his first hair cut! Every morning when he would wake up his hair would stick up like a horn and be all scraggly all around! So he got his first hair cut on Friday and as you see by the pictures, it wasn't a pleasant experience!

Sitting so big before knowing what torture was about to come!

Had to lay down and drink in order to hold still!

Looking nice and handsome! (:

Caught Red Handed

LITERALLY!
I came downstairs after a quick nap only to find Noah enjoying a nice race on TV with his oh so wonderful dad who decides to give him licorice! Noah gave me a big grin (without taking the candy from his mouth) with a "haha, he gave it to me." kind of a look. I couldn't help but laugh, but at the same time, didn't like getting that red off his hands! (:
I guess it's okay, Noah has been sick the past few days with an ear infection and bronchitis, so a little treat may have seemed appropriate... He deserved it!
(Sorry about the sun glare... nothing I could do).

[I'm baaack!]

So, as I posted before, things have a been a little busy and I haven't posted in a while. Well, I came back to update over the past few months.
First comes December.
(A not so cold December as you can see by the short sleeves).

Bear went to see Santa for his first Christmas! Didn't even cry!

He also had a very successful Christmas at his "FunPapa's" house and his Nana's. Santa loved him so much he even made a visit on Christmas Eve! He took is all so serious, while his dad on the other hand (which you can see behind him) took it very excitingly.

We also visited a certain Grandma's house where Dee Dee and I had nothing better to do than to snap a few shots.

Now we have January/February.

Bear is starting to pull himself up on things!

And Drinkin` like a big kid!

Hold on just a minute! That's no bear! That's a dog!

We Attended our cousin's baby shower where we got to meet little Amaya for the first time! And Bear Bear loved that he was finally not the smallest!

Avye coached him in his crawling session. (Sometimes you just need that little extra umph).

He's even standing in his crib now when he wakes up! I actually caught him jumping in there today! (Picture was taken in the dark, you get the gist).

And he's mastered his art perfectly! (:

Now hopefully I can keep on track from here on out and not get as far behind as I have these past few months!
